I was seriously on the brink of losing my sanity. I had a portable swing that swung back and forth and not side to side, he hated it. Hates the bouncer, Rock N Play only helps for 10 mins tops. I put him the Graco Simple Sway swing for the first time today and omg it's a sanity saver!! He has been in it for the last half hour without a peep. Longest break I have gotten since he was born 8 weeks ago. So let's start with the positive aspects. First and foremost, being able to plug the swing into an outlet is HUGE, we have had a battery only swing for two of our children and it was a big pain to change batteries every three or four days and D batteries are not cheap. Plus it always ran out of juice in the middle of nap time so I was being super quiet and trying to replace batteries without waking a baby. Second, I love that the whole seat removes and washes relatively easily. The first time was the hardest since everything was new and stuff but I've had to wash it a few times for blowout situations and it can be done pretty easily. Third, the size is much nicer than my last swing which took up a ton of floor space with really wide set legs.Now, the biggest complaint I have is that there is virtually no head support in this swing. It has plenty of features, but is cheaper than a lot of the options. My baby loves it. Before I bought the swing, I couldn't get any work done because she would scream bloody murder when I would put her in her bouncer. I noticed that she would calm immediately when I would swing her in her car seat...so we decided to invest. It works like a charm. My baby, who hates to nap, loves napping in the swing! |
