Great upgrade from the "soothing motions glider" that had many flaws such as no plug, and being very heavy. This has the same great motion as the previous glider that all of our kids loved as babies but also comes with an a/c plug (batteries for the vibrator on seat if you'd like) and it is much much lighter. Also easily detaches from base to become a rocking bassinet - a very useful feature. When on the floor rocking, it is the perfect height for an adult sitting in a normal sized chair to hold onto the rail and rock if necessary. The seat looks more comfortable than our beds, and our baby - quite fussy - has been snoozing away since we got it. Very useful foot sized power button on the base makes it easy to tap on or off. I-d say the FP team really nailed design on this machine. If i would say anything not positive it would be this: Its bulky so transporting by car from place to place wont be a breeze; also waiting to see if the motor holds out... We discovered my baby likes the swing at her grandma's house, but when she was tiny I felt that the swing was too upright and I didn't like that the harness was so big it touched her face. I did a lot of research and this swing/glider has a smaller footprint than most of the other larger swings. I also like that it plugs into the wall... It was worth it to pay a little more and not be constantly buying batteries! There are two positions so she can either lay mostly reclined or more upright and it is simple to switch between the two. We are working on sleeping only in her bassinet but sometimes I put her in this glider in the middle of the night when I really need sleep snd want her to pass out fast! Because it is mostly reclined, I don't worry about her flopping over. I have also used it for sleep when she is congested so that she can sit up a little bit more than her... She has been using it for three consecutive months since she was born every day. When she is crabby we put her in there and ... Voilá! She calms down and 90% of the times falls asleep. Swings are too much for a newborn in my opinion. Now she has a swing and although it keeps her entertained, she rarely falls asleep in it. In short, we recommend! |
